Offender Training & Rehabilitation Programmes
Creating opportunities through skills, training and employment
Training for a future
At NC Group, we believe access to the right training, support and employment opportunities can help people move forward, build positive futures and successfully connect with their community.
We work with employers, professionals within the Criminal Justice System, prisons, and specialist partners across the North of England to break down barriers to employment through inclusive recruitment, skills development, recognised qualifications, and pathways into work.

Breaking Down Barriers
Disclosure of convictions, a lack of qualifications, gaps in employment history, practical challenges such as transport, and the stigma associated with a criminal record can all make it difficult to move forward.
Our programmes and partnerships are designed to help remove these barriers and make training and employment more accessible and inclusive.
Depending on individual circumstances and programme availability, support can include:
Vocational and industry training
Recognised qualifications and certifications
Practical support throughout training
Support to access appropriate funding
Employability skills and confidence
Progression into sustainable employment

The Benefits of Training, Skills and Employment

Working Together to Create Better Outcomes
Effective rehabilitation often depends on organisations working together.
NC Group works collaboratively with regional specialist referral and support organisations, employers, prisons, and community partners to connect individuals with required training, practical support, and employment opportunities.
Our work demonstrates how collaboration can help individuals overcome barriers, access training and qualifications and progress towards sustainable employment.

"
“Previous involvement in criminality should never fully define a person or deter them from wanting to make positive changes for themselves, their loved ones or those they may have harmed as a result of their actions.
We believe that with the right support, opportunities to access training and education, previous involvement with the Criminal Justice System should not prevent someone from personal and professional development, building a successful career or positively contributing to their community.” – Becky Childs
