This apprenticeship develops existing leaders to enable them to provide operational leadership within their businesses, develop their teams and achieve organisational targets.

Course Overview

The Operations Manager Apprenticeship is for aspiring professionals in the business sector who aim to excel in leading and managing teams effectively. 


This comprehensive course equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to oversee complex operational processes, ensuring that organisational objectives are met efficiently and sustainably. 


Throughout the programme, participants will develop strong leadership and interpersonal skills, learning how to build productive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients. 


The course also focuses on strategic resource planning, enabling operations managers to allocate and optimise resources effectively in dynamic business environments.


Ethical practice, compliance with legal standards, and sustainability are key components embedded throughout the training.  


Learners will gain the ability to adapt to changing circumstances by mastering problem-solving, decision-making, and uncertainty management techniques. 


By the end of the apprenticeship, participants will be well-equipped to lead high-performing teams, manage critical projects, and contribute to their organisation’s strategic goals while creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Course Price

Fully funded or co-funded at £450

Funding Options

Funding is available via the Apprenticeship Levy and Digital Account System.

An employer contribution of 5% of the standard cost may be required depending on levy funds available and your business size.

End Point Assessment

The EPA consists of 2 assessment methods:

- Assessment method 1 - project with report

- Assessment method 2 - professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
