This apprenticeship develops new multi-skilled maintenance technicians within the engineering and manufacturing sector.

Course Overview

The Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship equips apprentices with the advanced skills, knowledge, and experience required to excel in modern engineering and manufacturing environments. 


This programme combines practical, hands-on learning with theoretical study, covering areas such as advanced manufacturing processes, mechanical and electrical systems, quality assurance, and health and safety standards.


Apprentices will develop expertise in problem-solving, design interpretation, and the use of industry-standard tools and technologies, preparing them to contribute effectively to engineering projects. 


The course also focuses on continuous professional development, project management, and teamwork, ensuring apprentices are workplace-ready and capable of supporting innovation and efficiency within manufacturing operations. 


Through workplace mentoring and formal assessment, learners gain recognised qualifications while actively contributing to their employer’s objectives, positioning themselves for career progression as competent, skilled engineering professionals in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Course Price

Fully funded or co-funded at £1050

Funding Options

Funding is available via the Apprenticeship Levy and Digital Account System.

An employer contribution of 5% of the standard cost may be required depending on levy funds available and your business size.

End Point Assessment

The EPA consists of 2 assessment methods:

- Assessment method 1: Observation with questioning

- Assessment method 2: Professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence
